Staff Requests
Heretic-Gamer is different from most gaming websites becuase it gives an opportunity for casual review and article writers to submit their work to be read on a public website. If you are at all interested in writing reviews, talking about your opinions, or otherwise publishing some sort of article you have written, contact webmaster@heretic-gamer.com. You will need to submit a copy of a work you would like to be published. What we, the staff at Heretic-Gamer expect from you is the following:
- Your article must be about video gaming or some related form of entertainment
- It must be of reasonable length, and have thought put into it; a few paragraphs isn’t appropriate, but if you’re writing something longer, you have to make sure it’s not boring
- Your piece of writing must be carefully proofread
- If it is a review, it must follow the format of other reviews on the site*
A good rule of thumb is that if you wouldn’t be comfortable submitting this for a grade at school, for example, then you probably shouldn’t e-mail us. If you follow these guidelines I almost guarantee we will post your review.
We have other staff openings for people that want to help out the site, but don’t care for writing. These involve graphic designers, people familiar with php and html, along with experts with Wordpress and vBulletin. E-mail the address listed above for more details.

*Our reviews follow a simple format:
- List the name, platform, and developer/date of release (if available) of the game
- Break down your review into sections, and separate parts of your review with one or two screenshots (check out ign.com if you need some quick ones)
- You must give the game a final letter grade and nothing else. The scale is as follows:
A: Legendary
A-: Outstanding
B+: Very Good
B: Good
B-: Better than average
C+: Slightly above average
C: Average
C-: Slightly below average
D: Mediocre
F: Absolutely atrocious
